Sichuan Yading National Nature Reserve is located in Shangri-La Town, Daocheng County, south of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, in the east of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in the middle of Hengduan Mountains, adjacent to Shangri-La in Yunnan Province in the south and Lugu Lake and Lijiang in the southeast. There are 1126 species of vascular plants, 291 species of vertebrates and 62 alpine ancient glacial lakes.
