Also known as the tower of the Xingshengjiao Temple, the Square Pagoda is located in the namesake garden in the southeast of the Songjiang town. Built in 1068-1094, the pagoda is a nine-storey, brick-and-wood structure with a height of 42.5 meters. It epitomizes the style of brick pagodas in the Tang dynasty.
Zuibaichi Park
A renowned classical garden in the lower Yangtze Delta, the Intoxicating Pond Garden is the oldest among the five in Shanghai: it has a history of over 900 years, if we count that of its forebear in it. In the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty(1662-1722), the garden was a private asset of Gu Dashen, a high-ranking official and an artist who admired the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi so much that he built his own garden modeled on the latters.
NECC is constructed 1.47 million square meters of buildings in total and offer about 400,000 square meters of indoor and 100,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition venues, 200,000 square meters of usable exhibition auxiliary facilities and another 300,000 square meters of comprehensive supporting facilities.
