Hat Rock State Park, located off U.S. Highway 730 nine miles east of Umatilla, lies on the south shore of Lake Wallula behind McNary Dam on the Columbia River. The park is peaceful and relaxing. There are several picnicking areas in the park.

Hermiston's Butte Park sits under the iconic Hermiston Butte and spreads over 40 acres. Within the park features 4 lighted soccer fields, a dog park, spray park and large open fields including trails up to the top of the Butte.

The Hermiston Community Center has variety of meeting rooms, convention and reception facilities, performing arts auditorium and recreational facilities, the Community Center hosts more than 200,000 event and program participants annually.
