Chengcing Lake is the largest lake in Kaohsiung. Takao Railway Museum, Kaohsiung Harbor Train Station, it was the first train station established in Meiji era 41 in Kaohsiung also the cradle of southern Taiwan's culture. However, it was shut down in 2008. Now Takao Railway Museum plays a role in educating public and promoting culture concept. Besides, lots of preserved railway's antiques and equipment were displayed. Furthermore, with installations art and paintings, it becomes a friendly railway culture spot.

The Aluminum warehouse was built 80 years ago, in Japanese Colonial Period. Along with the growth of the city, the warehouse was renovated as a brand new shopping mall combining with entertainment, culture and creative industries. The warehouse witnessed the change of heavy industry in Taiwan.

Rosary Cathedral Minor Basilica was built in 1859, in The Qing Dynasty, next to Love River. It is a both Gothic and Romanesque tower construction. In 1928, it was once renovated into Renaissance style to reshape its cultural aspect. Up to now, Rosary Cathedral Minor Basilica has more than 140 years of history.

The British Consulate at Takao is located at Shaochuantou Pier, the north shore of Kaohsiung Habour, including two British buildings built in 1879 and one hiking path. This was an essential base of consulting operation in British Colonial Period. This is the most historical western Consulates and Official Residences in Taiwan now.
