Nanputuo Temple was founded in the Tang dynasty, and the current building dates from 1684. Welcoming tourists from around China and the world, the temple’s characteristic mountainside construction also contains the South Fujian Buddhist Academy and is a great cultural excursion for visitors to Xiamen.
