hotel location is very accessable to Eagan locations and generally south suburbs

room was ok - quiet generally
the bed was the low part in that it slanted towards the bathroom

Would definitely stay here again.

The Candlewood Suites was a very clean and comfortable hotel to stay in. It's simple extended hotel stay is perfect for that extended stay. My one wish is that they had APPs available on the TV like Netflix, etc. They do have a full Direct TV experience, but when you want to watch something Specific,having APPs like Prime Video or Netflix where you could sign in would be one good addition. Surprised at no free hotel breakfast like many other extended stay hotels.

We stayed 5 nights, so extended stay was ideal for us. However, the bathroom was extremely small and dirty. Told the front desk and was laughed at and said I did 10 point inspection without offering any solution. The pullout couch/bed was very thin with multiple dirty stains on mattress. You can feel the spring that how thin it was. I definitely would never stay at this location again.

We’ve been staying here for a week annually for the past 7 years, as it is near family, is pet friendly, and has EV chargers. The pool and hot tub are great, and our family came to relax and talk for a while after dinner at the Southern Social; they have a large living room-like commons area (cushy seats grouped for many small groups). We’ve always been happy, but this week we noticed a significant improvement in the staff and updates and maintenance of the common areas (rooms were remodeled a few years ago). Loved that the maintenance man pulled up a translator app when we had a question. A very comfortable, private, and welcoming place to stay!

It worked well for our family vacation stay.

Let's start with the pros...
The room set up was lovely.
Noah at the front desk was very knowledgeable and friendly.
The pool and hot tub were the perfect temp and really nice.
There's free coffee and tea in the lobby.
The hotel is pet friendly.
The air conditioning is on point.
The location is great.
The television channels were good, especially for kids
The cons....
The dishes, while they were put away were not clean. There was a powdery residue on them.
The elevator is extremely slow.
The partial kitchen was minimally stocked which made certain foods difficult to cook. For example, I had to cook eggs and pancakes in a pot instead of a pan.
I had a $100 charge from my wet red hair bleeding pink onto towels and linen. I've had fashion red hair for over 2 years and have stayed at many IHG hotels and resorts. I've never been charged before. So, while I respect the hotels charge I was disappointed as it would simply be removed by bleaching the white items which I would hope would be done anyways for the sake of cleanliness. So if you have fashion color, dyed hair that transfers after a shower or swim, be sure to bring your own towel or bleach the linens yourself before leaving. Over all we had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

Uncomfortable Room

Had a very bad stay due to problems with the AC unit not cooling the room. The unit was blowing very weak and the temperature stayed between 78 and 80 degrees. This was very uncomfortable especially since I had a 6 month old and an elderly lady in our family. Staff provided us with 3 fans but was still very uncomfortable in the room.

Clean rooms, service was great and the hotel is in close proximity to many restaurants and stores. It was easy to get to.

Great extended stay option

We stayed at the Candlewood for 4 nights. We combined a family holiday with a wedding we were traveling to town for. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located near several restaurants in walking distance and the room amenities fit our longer stay with 4 young kids. The pool was a huge hit with the kids as well!

I had a wonderful stay. The staff was both courteous and professional, and my room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel provides a warm, home-like atmosphere that made my visit especially comfortable.

For future guests, please note that daily housekeeping is not offered, as this is an extended-stay property. That said, it did not affect the quality of my experience in any way.

A heartfelt thank you to the General Manager and the front desk team for your outstanding service. Your dedication is truly appreciated. I look forward to returning the next time I’m in the area.
