Downtown Chicago’s most beautiful indoor pool offers a family-friendly retreat in the heart of the Windy City. Swim 14 stories above the Magnificent Mile in our historic indoor Jr. Olympic size swimming pool, featuring its original 1920s Spanish tiles and a terra cotta Neptune fountain deliver a stunning backdrop for family fun.

Our culture-rich history

Our hotel was originally built in 1929 as the men’s Medinah Athletic Club, during which time Olympic gold medalist and Tarzan actor, Johnny Weissmuller, used the swimming pool to train. The building became a hotel in 1944, and opened as InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile in March 1990.
